13/3/07 - Title: Response to your article
Submitted by Cityboy on Thu, 03/29/2007 - 16:53.
I've never sent an email to anyone who wrote something in a paper before but after reading your article i decided I had to express myself. Here's my little story: went to see a friend tonight, picked up the London Paper on the way, read your social commentary entitled "The insane cost of living" and it had such an effect on me I vividly regretted leaving the paper behind and after a little scouting on the way back home I finally found one in the bin. I had to go back to your article, I had to scan it and send it to all the people that I possibly know, so that they could read it. I'm actually seriously thinking of framing it somewhere in the house, very much the same way Lena hung a picture of Franco in the movie "I am curious (yellow)". Mr Cityboy, you want to know why things are getting more expensive in town, or more accurately, less and less affordable in town, in the country, in the world? why there is an ever growing class system? because you exist, you and many others, who forgot or never knew what makes Life vivid and worth making sacrifices for. Who forgot all notions of empathy and decency. "It's a sick and twisted world we live in" you state in your article. I agree, you are the sole reason for the sickness of this world. Forget paedophiles and murderers, they are the victims of their very own mental diseases. You are an educated, well-off person with no excuse (so i presume) for showing such a lack of humanity. In fact, you ceased to be human. You are the enemy of everything that stands Right, everyone who has a Cause, everyone who has ploughed hard to find a tiny piece of Hope under a tonne of your excrement. You're my enemy, and with genuine Humbleness, i wish to temporarily represent everyone who has, since Humanity got together and decided to live in Society, dared-to-maybe-try-to-almost-think-about-maybe making this world a tiny-weeny-bit less-cold-and-a-less-alienating place to live in. I sincerely hope from the bottom of my heart to live long enough to witness your collective suicide. One day You and Your Important Clients will implode and be naked in front of the horror of your own reflections. Then, trust me, you'll see that there are Things more appalling then a £2500 night in Piccadilly. |
